- Your MRI, CT, or X-ray images — on a disc, USB, or shared through a portal
- A list of your current medications and doses
- Notes from previous spine treatment, therapy, or injections
- Your insurance card and photo ID
- A written list of your questions — bring someone with you if it helps

Answers before you call
Do I need a referral?
Referral requirements depend on your insurance plan. Confirm referral policy Call the office and we will tell you exactly what your plan requires.
Will I be told I need surgery?
Most patients who come in do not end up having surgery. The first visit is about identifying the cause of your pain and starting with the least invasive treatment that can address it.
Do I need an MRI before my appointment?
Not necessarily. If you already have imaging, bring it. If not, Dr. Desai will decide what is needed after examining you — imaging is ordered when it will change the plan.
How long is the first appointment?
Plan for a thorough visit that includes an exam, a review of your imaging, and time for questions.
What insurance do you accept?

How soon can I be seen?
